All smiles

1. WE ARE NOT SICK
So here is the deal. Almost two weeks ago I started to get sick. I finally made it to the doctor because I thought that I was going to DIE. No joke. Die. I was diagnosed with Strep. The boys never got Strep throat but were sick with fevers, runny noses, and coughs for over a week. Cameron never really got better so took him to the doctor and started an antibiotic. bla bla bla bla. With very little sleep and not feeling very hot, the three of us made grumpy roommates to each other. It was week. VERY VERY happy it is over.

2. No more meds
Because we are not sick....I don't have to hold Cameron down and shove medicine down his throat. This is not an exaggeration. I would hold him down screaming bloody murder and give him his meds. Not fun.

3. Learning to share
Here are some pictures on how it is going. This pictures are taken within minutes of each other. They both wanted to read the same book.

4. Dancing

Oh do I wish that I had pictures. My little dancing machine Owen is INSANE. He moves his shoulders, he gets on the ground and kicks one leg in the air, and he swings his arms everywhere. This little man LOVES to dance. He loves to dance. Cameron gets in the action but isn't as wild and crazy as his brother. He usually likes to sit and watch I bit and then do some pumping up and down.

5. Jimmy Buffett

Got out of my sick house last week and went to the Jimmy Buffett concert. It was a great time.

They are sick...

I have two sick children in the room down the hall so I am unable to catch up on my sleep. I decided to update the blog with the MANY pictures from the last week. I still have pictures of Erin's visit to catch you up on!!

Thanks to Aunt Erin for helping the boys learn to eat corn on the cob.

Here are the boys on a walk this week. Just an observation from this picture...Cameron reminds me of the little boy from the Peanuts cartoon who carries his blanket everywhere.

So here are some of the pictures from tonight. My parents brought over ribs and once Cameron's fever finally broke then he actually enjoyed!

That's it for now. All I can say is...goodness...it is going to be a long night. Hope the wake up as new men in the morning!!!

Cousins

1. Erin and Sawyer visited
I have lots of pictures. It was fun, exhausting, and much needed. I think that I gained 5 pounds from just eating all day!

(Needed to add this especially for Greg...the boys are actually ENJOYING their bath!! Didn't last long. Tonight didn't go as well.)

NOTE: All of the eaten watermelon on the trays. There is another piece on the side of Owen's tray. Owen ate most of them but they shared the evidence.

2. The Children's Museum

We got a membership. Holy moly this is exciting. Right now, to get an adult into the museum it is $16.50 for an adult and $11.50 for a youth over 2 years old. A year membership is $160. Let me tell you what...it is WORTH it. I can't wait to go back. The boys just had a BLAST and there is so much for them to do.

3. New pajamas

The boys are growing out of their clothes. Today I had to go make an emergency run for new pajamas. I guess that isn't really an emergency. Just much needed. Got a few pairs today (not on sale! SAD) and then some summer clothes in the next size.

.

4. Stinky Feet

When Owen takes his shoes off in the car I almost puke in my mouth. This isn't something that makes me happy but I am grateful that he hasn't thrown his food our of the car.

.

5. Wonderful Spirits

The boys and I are both doing significantly better. We are really enjoying are last few nights of summer. Running, playing, and getting completely worn out everyday. It is 8:30pm right now, my usual bedtime. Going to fold one more load of laundry and hit the hay.

...

Yay!! What a wonderful life I have.

August

1. The State Fair
Here are two pictures from the fair last year. Wow how things have changed!

This is a picture in front of a truck. One of the boys favorite things.

2. Sunny Days

This year Indianapolis broke a record for consecutive days above 90 degrees. The weather has finally given us a break. It has been warm, breezy, and we have even had the windows open. We go outside every morning and we even need to wear sweatshirts. Yay to better weather!

3. Erin and Sawyer

They are coming in TONIGHT!! Looking forward to their visit. Wish I didn't work tonight so we could begin playing bring and early in the morning.

.

4. Work bonus

I signed a bonus that I would stay on night shift. I got my first part of the check today. Thank goodness for a small treat!

.

5. The train

A part of the fair....is the fair train. It passes by our neighborhood so the boys here it many times a day. My dad took them to see the train pass this morning as I caught up on my sleep. It brought their train excitement to an entire new level. Now they start running around the house every time they hear it. Pretty darn cute.

6:39 am

1. Sleep
This is on the top of my list to my own sanity. I have been actually working on getting more sleep and I think that it has helped. I am now up before the boys, drinking a my huge mug of coffee, and getting ready for the morning. Oh what a difference it makes.

2. Quick story
I don't have a "grateful for.." title to this quick little story. Basically, Cameron is hitting people. At the Lifetime daycare they had to give me a report last week and yesterday at the playground he just walked right up to the littlest baby and hit her square on the head. Awesome. That's all. That is my quick story. There are pictures of the boys on the swings from the trip to the playground a little farther down in the post.

3. Another year without school!
At work this weekend and yesterday with Tanya I have been talking about the cost of sending kids to school. Though I am a sucker for new school supplies, wow...glad I don't have that expense this year. (I know...I am a nerd.)

These are pictures with the wonderful, loved "tractor." Last weekend I bought a new truck at Once Upon A Child so now both boys can push. Surprisingly....no fights so far!

Monday night dinner at my parents. Owen was all smiles after he got another strawberry.

Cameron refused to eat his popsicle while holding the stick. He ate the entire thing this way. I ended up taking a video instead of pictures. They are pretty cute. Boring video but I love it.

4. Trucks

A few weeks ago my dad found this spot in the apartment complex where we can sit and watch trucks go by. This now happens every morning. The pictures that I got yesterday didn't have any trucks in the picture...or cars for that matter...but trust me. This is THE place. The boys point the way the entire time as we walk and then they get out and name everything that passes once we get there. Owen is a bit more vocal than Cameron....but they both enjoy. We actually went twice yesterday.

5. Busy Days

I have been trying to keep the boys super busy during awake hours. We seem to be on the go all day. They have been loving it. Tonight we are going to the fair with the grandparents and maybe even make a trip to the trainstation.
