846.

1. Harry Potter, book 2
They twins are finally finished with book 1 and they have started book 2.  Usually Mike sits and reads before I get home from work but because today was spring break they boys were all still in their pajamas so I was able to read with them before bedtime.

2. Morning Treats
Around 10am a box of Cheryl & Co cookies were delivered.  These cookies are INSANELY amazing.  We indulged on the spot.  And yes -- I was at home at 10am.  I was between meetings so I stopped home to say hello and got some work done.

3. Sleep
For 2 nights Mike worked extremely late.  I am grateful that he was easily able to pick back up on his sleep and it didn't take him out for a full week.

4. Positive Feedback
I am grateful that I have a job.  Not only do I have a job but I have a career.  AND on top of that - I receive positive feedback on a regular basis.

Today was not a hot day to be the bosslady.  Not at all.  So days like to today remind me to breathe, do my best, and be grateful for the place I am at.

5.  The bubbles
It must be mentioned, one way or another. "the bubbles" are probably Jack's absolute favorite thing at this time.  The screen saver on our computer comes up and Jack instantly wants to pop one of the floating bubbles.  We have a touch activated monitor so once he touches it all of the bubbles disappear.  This has given him HOURS of entertainment.

short. sweet. no pictures. new flow.

1. Yoga
Tonight I decided to hit up Monday yoga because the twins are in Chicago and Mike is working late.  I am so grateful that I made it to class.  I walked out feeling stronger, grounded and with a little bit more love for myself.

2. No lunches
I have been pretty terrible at packing lunches lately BUT this week is a built in OFF week.  Super grateful that I don't even need to think about it.

3. PTO
Tomorrow I am taking a full day to head down to the lake to paint, paint, paint.  I really want to put in some major sweat equity into this project so when summer comes around we can spend the time enjoying coffee on our new deck, fishing or reading books.

4. My leadership team
Today I thought I was going to lose my mind at work.  Jimmy walked into my office and insisted that I find a solution.  This immediately made me breathe and not completely lose my shit.  ...hence why yoga was MUCH needed as well as the day off tomorrow.  And I can't leave out Kristin.  That woman is a beast and runs circles around me.  It's super impressive and completely inspirational.

5. New goals
I am grateful that I am working on some new goals.  My health, my gratitude blog and my sanity are just some of the things that are "NOT OPTIONAL" in the year of 36.

6. Tony Robbins
I had to add him in - grateful for his talks on YouTube.  Today they especially helped.

36 years

A few days ago I was looking through one of my old goal journals and found a page of things that WERE and were NOT working in my life.  One of the positive things on the list was this blog.  I am going to try and give it a good shot again.  I know that you, the reader, has heard this all before BUT I have a feeling that this time it will stick.

1. Birthday traditions
Every year Mike and I do something brand new to BOTH of us and spend some time together vs. buying new things.  This year we went axe throwing.  It was pretty spectacular.

2. Flowers from Tara
Friday was my birthday and when I got home from work I had a beautiful bouquet from Tara.  Tara is freaking AMAZING.  I am so pumped that she is on my team.  Without her dedication, eye for something fabulous and her commitment to win - I probably would of jumped off this toothpaste train.

3. Birthday lunch
We have catered lunches EVERY day at work except Friday.  When some of the girls decided to order Jimmy Johns I actually joined in the fun and didn't just pull out my can of soup.  I love love love Jimmy Johns and my sandwich and fountain drink lived up to the hype in my head.

4. Scavenger Hunt
I woke up on my birthday to a scavenger hunt around the house.  It was pretty impressive and took my a long time to figure out some of the clues.  It was a great start to my day.  Rouzer is the best.

5. Homemade cards
I am sure most parents will agree -- homemade cards are the absolute best. So grateful that the boys sit down for a few minutes and use their imagination and share their love with me.

6. Emma's bridal shower
It snowed 8 inches yesterday in Indiana....just in time for our tropical bridal shower.  I must say, we stuck to the theme really well but holy hell did we push the time to the limit.  Thank goodness that Mike was here to chop and prep.  I absolutely could not of pulled this off without his help.

I'm Alive

Starting off the morning with a bit of gratitude.  Sadly, it has been a hot minute since my last post.

1. Jack
This kid. Holy hell.  He is spoiled, OCD and loves to be the boss.  He is the perfect combination of both of his parents (sometimes..not the best parts...LOL). Half of his days he rules the house like an only child and then when his brothers come home he still rules the roost.

2. Owen is a BEAST
On Friday Owen had to have a TON of tubes drawn.   The phelbotomist chose a terrible vein.  I had to walk out of the room before she started because I knew that it was going to be super painful.  He beasted through the entire thing without a peep.  He makes my life easy most days.

3. Natalie, Dr. Agarwala and Dr. Goulet
It was a rough week in our home this week because we received TERRIBLE news.  I am so grateful for this team of people who go above and beyond to keep me in the loop, answer my questions and call my again and again when I have more.  Dr. Goulet called my office and had the staff track me down on Tuesday to tell me that my mom's cancer has metastasized.  Then Dr. A called me to lay out the entire plan for the next testing since my mom was at a retreat all weekend.  Finally, Natalie has kept me in the loop, coordinated care AND answers my repeated questions over and over.  She is not only our breast navigator but my friend.  And oh goodness...I am grateful for her.

4. Mike
Every time I say thank you to Mike this week he has come back with, "I always do this."  And he does.  He does the dishes, the cleaning, the cooking and has even started to take over my chore of the laundry.  Now Mike is obsessed with the yard and rejuvenating our garden.  **His end game is chickens**

Anyways, I love this man and the life that we have together.  Yesterday was filled with sunshine, yard work and spending time together.  It was perfect.  Well....the BEACH would of been perfect.  But it was a TON better than being at work.

This afternoon we are headed to our new lake house to start officially making plans before the paperwork gets signed on Friday.  Cheers to the next adventure.

5. The Escape Room
This picture was from a few weeks ago but I wanted to add it to the list.  This was such a great night. We went to the Escape Room and then had dinner out with Rick and Connie at Brugge.
