Seven

1. Camp Out
The spring camp out was last night.  Jack and I TRIED to go.  We honestly had stuff there to spend the night in the 40 degree weather but when push came to shove at 730pm and the campfire had not officially started yet Mike and I both felt that Jack's melt down was only going to get worse.  Thankfully camping makes Mike's heart beat so he had it all together.  Even though I was only able to stay for 4 hours I was so grateful to get some fresh air, go on a crazy hike with second graders and enjoy the day.

So freaking grateful that Mike does this with the twins.  They are absolutely OBSESSED.

Making the decision to leave.

2. Little league has started
We made it through our first official game.  And won!  Let me tell you...watching your kids get up to bat or making a play gets a bit stressful.  Jack slept the entire time which was heavenly because I was able to fully watch the ENTIRE game.

 3.  Jack's surgery went smoothly
On Thursday Jack needed to have surgery on his tear duct.  Per usual he was a CHAMP.  We were in and out in 3 hours and then had the rest of the day to spend together.  We prepped him the night before with nothing to eat or drink when he woke up.  He didn't have a preop time until 7am so I knew it could be challenging at our 545am wake up call.  He did ok - just asking for milk a few times.  When he woke up I was expecting him to ask for the chocolate milk and cookie I promised.  (which he was also not allowed to have right away) but instead he was requesting a treasure chest.  Once we got back home Mike made his way back out to purchase the promised chocolate milk and a new PJ mask toy.

4. Spending the day at home
The day of Jack's surgery was heavenly.  I spent the morning with Mike waiting with Jack, took a two hour afternoon nap and then spent the rest of the afternoon running errands with SBJ in the sunshine.  It REALLY made me miss being at home with the boys at this age.  I really struggled at work on Friday and I am still struggling this weekend.  I hope that I am making wise choices.
 5. Work
Even though I am struggling with the fact that I am going to work everyday - I am very blessed with a strong team.  This week we were recognized for top patient satisfaction scores in the country.  Cheers!
6. Jenna was in town
I was able to visit with Jenna TWICE on this visit.  I am so grateful that these women are in my life.  Everyone is 100% completely different and I love spending time with them.  Last weekend when I was at Kara's it made me miss my own sister and the ease of our relationship but I am happy that I am still able to find women my own age to help me grow and give me support.
 7. Bean Sprouts
This has been our latest side project and we love the results.  Now we are busting at the seam with bean sprouts.  I need to point out - I purchased the materials and took this picture but Mike has done ALL of the work.  Per usual.

Today

1. Lunch with Mike
I have been in a funk lately.  I had no meetings for the ENTIRE day so I thought Mike and I should go to lunch.  It is FINALLY sunny and getting out of the office for a bit really helped to break up my day.  It was so great to sit and chat.  And eat TONS of food.

2. Sequence at 6am
SBJ asked Mike to play his favorite game this morning.  It was great because I was able to get ready in peace and then Mike was up and made the boys eggs for breakfast.  We played music and Owen initiated a short dance with me.  Good morning.

3. Our current experience
I purchased this set on Amazon and Mike took charge of the growing.  I am excited for sprouts in a few days.  We love watching stuff like this.  It reminds me of the Ant Farm.

3. Brothers
Do I even have to say it?  The twins are fighting a bit more and always someone seems to be left out lately BUT overall they still love the hell out of each other.
4. Swim lessons
Sitting at the gym for an hour on Wednesday nights is not my type of fun but I am so grateful that all of the boys are back in lessons.

5. Having an office
Right now I am grateful that I am able to sit in my office, listen to music and have a bit of my own space.

Monday Morning.

1. Singing songs in the car
On Sunday Mike and I headed down to the lake to do more painting and yardwork.  The twins were with Greg and Jack was with my parents so we were there for a few hours alone.  I think my favorite thing (besides eating pizza by the fire) was singing songs on the car ride home.

2. Payroll Monday
I have figured out a pretty great system to get through all 84 people on my payroll.  Grateful for Kristin and Jimmy to help get lots of the work completed.

3. Spring is coming
As I sit and type I am starring at snow on the ground.  It's April 9th and I got an inch of snow last night.  I am so freaking excited that the winter is almost over and spring will be here any day.

4. Showered last night
I am grateful that I don't have to shower this morning.  It is saving me some time and I can sit around and be lazy for a few extra minutes.

5. Owen's stories
Owen can sit and talk for hours and hours.  Usually I just sit and listen and have him follow me around the house will I pick up or do chores.  Sometimes it is hard to follow his train of thought but usually it is just a really long story with every detail you can imagine.

Saturday 5

1. Pain relief
My mom is currently doing palliative radiation in hopes of some pain relief with her bone mets.  It was not helping at all so this week I had her try CBD oil.  Yesterday she finally said, "yes, the pain is a tiny bit better."  What!??!  So grateful for a small victory.

2. Swim lessons
All three boys are in swim lessons and they are all are enjoying it.  This year it is a tad more cumbersome than in the past because we are there for so long AND the twins swim first and THEN Jack.  But I have been super impressed and grateful for how well they do while they just sit and wait.  All of them.

3. The Lake Shack
We were able to get some more work done on the lake shack.  Lots and lots and lots of painting.  Mike and I are headed back down again tomorrow to get in a few more hours.
4. Spaghetti for breakfast
Jack has been asking for spaghetti for every meal.  He had two helpings for breakfast and then for lunch he had a bowl of baked beans.  Wowzers .... he is such a picky eater.  At least today he chose something that we actually had.

5. We had tea
Our coffee machine randomly broke yesterday.  Grateful that we have tea to help with the morning slump.

Hump Day

1. Easter Egg challenge
This year Cameron won our annual egg crushing competition.  As you can tell by the picture below - he was PUMPED.  I really thought that this was my game and I would win every year but I was happy to pass the champion title to him.

2. Hump Day
It is WEDNESDAY!!!  The office has been unusually quiet for spring break and though I like to keep things hopping - sometimes quiet is heavenly.

3. New Book
This week I decided to start a new book that was not a business book or personal improvement or finance book. (Yes - I completely get that I am so so lame.)  BUT this book I am reading right before bed and I have found that I am able to relax and get solid sleep.  No wonder I used to do this EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT.  I am excited to get back into it.

4. Roof
It has been raining for days.  Like poring rain that is flooding streets and shutting down interstates.  BUT I am grateful to say that I have a roof over my head and I am sitting here dry, warm and wrapped in a blanket.

5. Luke and the lake shack
I am grateful for a ton of things when it comes to our new little place but right now I am super, uber grateful that Luke is doing work on our house.  I trust Luke.  I trust his work and his opinion.  It a month or so we will be able to walk into a fully functioning house and hopefully just ENJOY the lake.

Saturday

1. Sub Yoga Instructor
Saturday morning yoga is one of my favorites but this Saturday I LOVED the sub instructor.  It was nice to do a different routine and use different muscles.  It used a lot of balance and strength and per usually I walked out standing taller and grateful for my practice.

2. Butterfly Garden
We hit up the zoo yesterday afternoon.   We went to the butterfly exhibit for the first time and we were all wonderfully surprised.   In this picture, the boys were trying to get a butterfly to land on their finger.

3. ANIMALS
Yesterday we were able to see a ton of animals at the zoo and many of them were pretty active.  The boys were really good and everyone had a great time.  We only stayed a few hours before heading home to color Easter eggs - it was prefect.

Also, every time Jack saw a new animal he would say, "oh my gosh"  It was hilarious.

4. Double Date
We went to Morty's last night with Adam and Emma.  I realized that Emma and I are spending three weekends in a row together!  Super pumped for the month ahead.

5. Radiation is close to my work
I am super grateful that I am easily able to walk to my mom's radiation appointments and be there for her during these two weeks.
