Fish

1. The attitude
Yup. I am grateful for the attitude.  I'll admit that these two...well all three boys...test my patience on a daily basis.  The arguing, debating, bickering.....wowzers at times I wish it could end.  But these two little ones have my heart.  Usually I can get their attitude to break pretty quickly AND they are yet to tell me that they hate me.  So overall I think that I am winning.

2. S'mores
I know that these little gems have been on the list before and I am sure that they will make the list again.  I love a good s'more.  The first night we used chocolate but the second night we used peanut butter cups which is my favorite.

 3. The hill
This hill. WOW.  This hill is a beast.  My jog went from a slow jog to a slow steady walk. It was rough.  And though I knew it was coming and I was excited for the challenge it was actually harder than I anticipated. I am excited to continue conquering that hill until I win!

4. Fishing
Mike is obsessed.  I think it is boring as hell.  Right now he is at the lake house to do some tiling so he was able to get some extra fishing in.  (Let's be for real -- he can't fish when he is doing poles for three different kids.)  He just caught three in a row!  Glad he is out there and can enjoy.  Here is a picture from this weekend.

5. The day is over
The dishes are done, the kids are trying to go to bed (or actually they are trying to stay awake) and I am headed to bed myself.  Though it is only 808pm as I type I am excited to brush my teeth, get cozy and start my new book.

morning time

1. No morning bus
Since we still have one week left before school starts that means we have one week left before the bus comes at 7am.  That means one week left of lounging around before work.  One week of drinking my coffee slowly.  One week of only packing myself up for the day.  Today I am going to sit and enjoy these few extra minutes of going into work at 8am and not feeling the mad rush of the school day morning.

2. Big Brother
A few years ago Mike and I started the tradition of watching Big Brother.  Though it is a terrible show it keeps us entertained and makes us stay up too late on most nights.  It's that time of year again and BB20 is in full swing.

3. Great Weather
We have had really great weather in Indy lately.  That means some solid walks for Nash.  Though I loath sitting in my office for most of the day I am so freaking grateful for the times that I can step out into the sunshine.

4. Mike has done all of the laundry
I am pretty particular in how I do my routines but with all the changes in RCS Mike has had more time at home to pick up some of my usual chores.  For the past few weeks he has been doing the laundry.  It's pretty nice to have no housework.

5. Shopping for Bermuda
This business has got me all of the place.  It challenges me to the core on where I want to go, what I want to do and what I want to accomplish in my life.  I think about my goals, my vision, and what I actually WANT out of this life.  It's both overwhelming and absolutely wonderful. I have found courage for things like buying a lake house and stepping outside my comfort zone.  I am not sure where I will be going with toothpaste BUT I love the growth that I have had the last year.

Acting

1. Cameron's Performance
I loved EVERY SINGLE MINUTE of Cameron's debut in Aristocats.  For years now he has loved acting and wanted to be on the stage.  This past week he did a camp from 9-5 with a performance at the end and it was amazing.  I could not stop smiling from ear to ear.  He sang, danced, remembered lines and was the best Scat Cat around.  I can't wait to see his next performance.

2. "Everybody Wants to be a Cat"
This is Jack's new favorite song.  We actually listen to Cameron's performance on repeat and Jack does the singing and dancing.  I'm not going to lie...I'm a bit obsessed.

3.  Monday night yoga
Have a said this yet?  Probably not since I rarely do the blog.  Mike and I have started to do yoga together on Monday night.  I have an obsession with yoga and I love spending this time with him.

4.  Easy weekend
This weekend Mike had to work and we stayed in town for a bday party and Cameron's performance.  It was great to stay home and get a tad caught up.  This NEVER happens so any few extra hours with no responsibility or plans are heavenly.

5. RCS has changed
Mike has decided to stop doing parts of RCS.  I think that this was a smart decision.  Though he was loving all of his free time and being able to get the kids off the bus he was not fulfilled and pretty unhappy with his work for the past few year.  I am grateful that he made the decision to change.

July. It's almost over.

1. It's Friday
I am officially living for the weekend. I am tired of work clothes, work shoes, make up, and being interested in things that I am really not interested in.  LOL.  I think that though I hit the cusp I am a millennial through and through.  Holy hell are they hard to manage and they completely move jobs every year or so....YIKES... that is me.  BUT on a grateful, unfearful note - IT'S FRIDAY!

2. OBX
Per usual, our family trip was wonderful.  The kids had a blast and we were able to connect with family and make tons of memories.  The car rides were simple and we had absolutely perfect weather.  On the last day Mike ended up with stiches but we have yet to receive the ED bill so that too is so far not an issue at all.  I love traveling and can't wait for our next trip in less than 50 days!

3. Team Bonding
Last Friday we had a team bonding experience and did a handle bar ride around the city.  First of all, it was an absolute blast.  Second, I don't think that I have been so drunk in a LONG time.  It was absolutely crazy.  Though I loath working in my office 8-5 I am really starting to enjoy the leadership team that I work with.  I especially love my boss.  Grateful for a strong example of leadership.  This is NOT my boss pictured.  This is Amy who I sat by on our bike trip who is hilarious.
 4. The LAKE
Oh boy has the lake house been an adventure.  I have learned a TON about myself.  One major thing that was a bit surprising is that boats stress me out.  Unless we are crawling along I think that we are going to capsize at basically every single second.  Yes - feel jealous of my husband who has to handle me.   I am also learning how much work and prep goes into a weekend home.  That being said -- we spend HOURS playing games, swimming and spending time with each other.  We have no TV in the house.  I think that we all love the quick time away to help us regroup and enjoy just BEING.

 5. Home cooked meal
This week while Cameron was at acting camp Mike helped Owen choose, prep and prepare any meal that he wanted.  He chose braised beef tacos and they were AMAZING.  Right when the cooking started we had an electricity malfunction at our house so they moved the meal to grandpa and grandmas.  Owen loved it.  The meal was fabulous AND we had left overs for the rest of the week.  Perfect for late night tacos.

6. Lifetime
Obsessed with the Lifetime pool.  For the past few weeks we have been able to enjoy the outdoor pool while the kids have swim lessons.   It is so nice that not only is it close to our home but it is rarely crowded.  PLUS the water slides are fun fun fun!
