"I am a bad guy...it's just me."

It is still January and this is my 4th post.  Sometimes I feel like super mom and others I feel like...holy moly....all moms are busy, "this is normal."  Today I feel like...huh....

We are watching a movie right now. It is 714. A lot has already happened today. Why? Well the boys woke up at 500am and in my sleepy stupor I thought that it was time to wake up. After a full 10 minutes I stopped in my tracks and realized, "holy shit. It is only 5am." Well those of you who have 3 year olds, or know my children, know that a full 10 minutes of already being awake equals not going back to bed. So....we have been up since 5am. All of us tired and a little crabby.

Here is a picture from this morning.  On the bright side...I already have all of the back rooms vacuumed and two loads of laundry done, but not folded.  I tried to start my taxes but that was a joke so I decided to do a quick blog updated instead.

1. Yoga
I am going to try to do Thursday night yoga every week after work.  This will be a task to even leave work on time and get to the gym.  Next week I have more computer training so I will have to miss it and then the following week I might be busy as well.  BUT...I love this class and it kicks my ass.  Hopefully I can make it there.

2. Amber
The boys are going to a sitter in the neighborhood.  This has been an extremely EXTREMELY hard adjustment for me.  I know that day shift is the best thing for me and I am grateful for her being such a big part of our lives now.

3. dumdums
Yes, the small little suckers that are a PERFECT bribe.  I have started bribing my children sometimes.  I am not proud, but hey, sometimes, it makes us all a bit happy.

4. Library books
We read library books every night in my bed before the boys go to bed.  It is SOOOOO nice to change up the stories and the boys are still at an age that I can skip a page or two and they usually have no clue.

5. The help
The boys want to be with me and help me with everything.  Sometimes it is very sweet and melts your heart.  But at the same time it really slows your work down.  It takes me a long time to vacuum, do the dishes, laundry, cook...basically...just about everything.  Even right now Owen and I are arguing about him helping me on the computer.

6. Ashley's Bday Dinner
On Tuesday night we went to dinner at Cheeseburger in Paradise for Ashley's bday.  We were there for an hour.  I was in the bathroom 5 different times.  The first time, I made both boys go pee before the meal came.  Success.  Second time, Cameron told me that his stomach hurt so I asked if he had to go to the bathroom...he said yes, Owen said no...so we went.  Came back to the table. Owen had to go.. Now we are on the 4th time, Cameron had to "poo." Owen didn't have to go. Got back to the table, and Owen had to "poo." So this 5th, and final time that I was in the bathroom, the table paid for my bill.  Basically, I didn't get much of a chance to talk to anyone but they still paid for our dinners.  Grateful. Very grateful.  OH and I don't carry a diaper bag anymore.  Yay!!

This is us waiting at the Children's Museum.  Maybe I am just completely off on my times lately.  I left my house 45 minutes too early.  I knew what time the museum opened and when I pulled up to the building I realized that it was 45 minutes before 10am!!  So we waited.  This is Cameron with a band aid on almost all of his fingers, eating a cucumber.  I love when he wears that hat.
We were playing pretend on Friday and Owen put this "cake" in the fridge to cool down.  We must of forgot because I opened the fridge on Saturday night and this is what I found.

Can you find Owen in this picture.  Ha.  They crack me up.

A few things about this one.  Yes, that is his costume on the ground.  And at the rate he grows...it won't fit him much longer.  That will be a terrible day.  Second....this is a common occurrence at our home.

Swim lessons.  Yes, he looks terrified because he hates to put his ears in the water.  BUT he LOVES swim lessons.  He calls Maddie "my person"

Playing with the Harris family after church at McDonalds.  I must admit, this was an awesome play area
Neighborhood bike ride when it was warm last week.  And I got some yard work done!
Cameron insisted that I put a picture of him in his costume on the blog.  He loves this costume.  LOVES.

making myself post...

I started day shift this week.  Today is actually my second day.  Boy is this going to be an adjustment.  Since I worked weekend nights and then immediately went to a 12 hour day it has been a bit rough. This morning I have a doctors appointment at 845 so I am letting the boys sleep in a little and trying to get caught up on some life.  Yesterday I had my full day off and I tried to take advantage of doing stuff the boys love.  We went to the gym, had Ethan and Jonny over for lunch, and then went to swimming lessons.  That evening they helped me make dinner and wrestled in their costumes.  It was a good day.  An exhausting one.

1. Coffee & hazelnut cream
Every morning.

2. Clean house
I try and pick up my house every night so I don't wake up to a mess everyday.  I would say that I do this 92% of the time.  It makes SUCH a difference.  Now I just need to get to the bathrooms and floors.

3. "Nothing"
Cameron is so predictable that I should use it in my favor more often.  He disagrees with everything...EVERYTHING I say.  He always says that he is doing "nothing" and he doesn't want to do anything.  It becomes even more obnoxious when he tries to roll his eyes and gets his "hit list" look on his face.  He is going to be a tough nut to crack.

4. My mover, Tanya
Tanya helped me move furniture yesterday.  I love the new look of the living room.  Trying to figure out the toy room.  I LOVE when she comes over for lunch.  She always brings takeout and helps me rearrange my home.

5. Spider man....
Yesterday on the way to swim practice Cameron said, "Momma I am spider man. You are batman and Owen is green man."  So for the entire way there we talked and had a conversation as we were in character.  Once we got out of the car I tried to continue and Cameron said, "No mommy, I took my costume off. You took your costume off too."  He cracks me up.  His imagination is unbelievable.  I hope I am fostering it correctly.

Old news

I don't think that I have posted these pictures yet....I know WAY late but I wanted to get them in....at least during the season.

This was our second annual pizza party.  It was a hit.  A little different this year but wonderful all the same.  The kids are getting so much bigger.  They had a blast all playing together which reminded us moms that we need to get together a LOT more.

Yes, Owen is leaning his head on Olivia's shoulder.

No pictures

This post is going to have no pictures.  So I will try to make it short and sweet.  Just 5 things that I am grateful for as we enter into the New Year.

1. New Year's Resolutions
I have kept my resolutions the past few years.  I have made them simple and tried to accomplish something that I keep putting to the bottom of the pile.  I only made one...that way...easier to accomplish.  No excuses.  This year I have made two.  First, to read 12 books.  I know, you can laugh out loud.  This should be an EASY one to accomplish.  BUT I have had the same book at my bedside for a good, long time now.  The second is to make/have a fire pit in my back yard.  I WANT to make one but I haven't committed to a space, look, or cost.  I hopefully I can figure it out early in the year and be able to enjoy all summer and fall.

2. New Year's Eve
This year we spent the night at Erin's house.  It was a lot of fun.  I don't think that I have laughed that hard in a long time.  My face actually hurt.  I was exhausted the next day (though I went to bed at 1205) but it was worth it.  Thank you guys for having us over!!

3. End of year memories
I have tried to stay on top of the videos, photos, and albums.  And I am CAUGHT UP!!

4. Weekend Option
It served me well.  One last weekend.  So. Very. Grateful.

5. Colds...go away.
The boys are feeling better.  No more fevers...just wild times and crazy imaginations.
