Yup. No pictures again. wha wha wha.
1. Today is Halloween.
We celebrate and work and then trick or treating tonight with the boys. I LOVE this night. It's so fun to run around with the boys and experience pure joy.
2. Workout complete
My arms are actually shaking right now as I type this. I just got home from the gym and before I start getting ready I wanted to sit down and be grateful for a moment. So glad that this is under my belt.
3. Sleep
Last night I fell asleep fast and hard. I have a cold so maybe that helped but holy moly - it was early (like before 9pm).
4. Cordless headphones
Have I mentioned this yet? Mike got these for Christmas last year. I didn't think that they were necessary and they were pretty extravagant but I am in LOVE with them. Now I can't imagine my life without them.
5. Multiplication Tables
I can't believe my kids are learning multiplication tables. I feel so old. Right now the deal is - if they pass a timed test (practice at home) then they are able to play electronics. Per the usual, Owen studied and tested, studied and tested and cried and cried if he failed. Cameron complained that it wasn't fair but then a few hours later he tested and got annoyed if he failed.

Tiff
1. Clean House
When Rouzer and I get in a tiff he cleans the house. This isn't the only reason why he cleans BUT the times that he is angry with me our house is extra fabulous. Yesterday was one of those days and he even added the garage. Grateful for a clean house.
2. No more tiff
Grateful that we have a good marriage and that we love each other. We disagree every now and then and we both have things that irritate us but overall -- on so many of the days and so many of the hours we work out beautifully.
3. 2000gsv
I have been struggling with NuSkin lately to hit my goals. This month I hit my minimum goal and it's not even the last day of the month. I have much much larger goals but I am so grateful for these small accomplishments.
4. No TV
We are struggling with electronics in our house. Today after work Jack and I went to the gym. Once we got home I said no TV. We read books and started the bedtime routine. It was heavenly. This rule is going to come out more. I remember why no TV brought me peace and sanity.
5. "Thank you,"
Mike and I were emailing back and forth today at work. He set up his work email to automatically say, "Thank you," and then sign his name. Hopefully after today he realized that was a bad idea BUT I was laughing so hard in my office I was crying. It was THAT funny but for some reason I could not stop. After those emails I would just say "You're welcome." though there was absolutely no reason for him to thank me and continue to laugh and laugh. It oddly was one of the highlights of my day. Yeah - i know it's not that funny but it was great to me.

4 am start times
1. Starting again
Yeah it's not easy to start over. Again. And again. And again. It's defeating and frustrating. But on the upside - I can start again. It's not over. And that's what I did today. I was at the gym by 415am.
2. Monday
I am going to miss the weekend - but I am excited for Monday to attack my goals. 60 days left in the year and I am pumped to see my life unfold in the next few months.
3. Laughter and play
Last night the boys were all playing together. They were running around laughing and being silly. I loved hearing the joy.
4. Festival on the same night
I legit was high fiving Mike and dancing in the hall way when I found out that the boys have their holiday program on the same night. We were spoiled in Kindergarten when this happened. It makes life way better for those two evenings. I am still sitting here and smiling when I think about it.
5. Full Freezers
We are stocked to the brim with food. It is a great problem to have. I went to Costco yesterday and didn't realize we had absolutely no room for our favorite orange chicken that was on sale. Grateful that Mike's hobby is starting to pay off.

Pumpkins
1. Weekend away.
This picture does not even come close to the fabulous time that we had at the lake. By the end of the weekend the colors were amazing. Fabulous might be an overstatement. My Husband is the best, I adore him. Every morning I wake up and think "how can I serve him today?" One day, I'll also start proofreading. SBJ was under the weather and without the boat there were lots and lots of arguments amongst the kids. That being said, we still sit down for breakfast and dinner together, life is SUPER simple and we welcome the solitude.
Per usual, Kara was the best. SBJ has been running a fever/slightly miserable all week. On Friday afternoon we finally made it to the doctor. He is still coughing up a storm but at least no fever today.
3. This
How can you not be grateful for this?
4. Bloomington's Farmer Market
On Saturday my mom, Owen and I went to the market. It was freezing and we didn't last long BUT it was still super wonderful like last time.
5. Dominos
This was a shit show this weekend but we were able to complete a full game. Well sort of a full game. It was close enough. Yay for small victories.
New recipe. I cut in half and added brown sugar and cinnamon before baking.
Yup - learned this at the Farmer's Market.

This afternoon we saw Little Foot at the movies. It was pretty cute and the boys were super well behaved.

Steak
1. Online banking
I never balance a checkbook. I am able to look at all my accounts on line and I do it frequently enough that I know if there is a random purchase. Online banking is so easy.
2. GOING TO THE LAKE
This evening we are finally going to the lake house. FINALLY. I haven't been since before Bermuda I think. I am excited to see all of the fall color and sit around for hours and play. It will be a different trip since we won't have the boat or lake activities. Good thing that we have lots of games.
3. Sleep
Last night I read for an hour before going to bed. I slept hard and for the most part I slept all night. This is really good since Jack woke up at 430am wanting to chit chat and not feeling well.
4. Premade coffee
Rouzer premade the coffee this morning so all I had to do was press start. This early in the morning ….or really any morning.... not having to make the coffee is heavenly.
5. Playing outside
Last night while I worked on the blog and did a little toothpaste Mike played outside with Jack. I bet they played for a full hour hitting the baseball, learning to swing and shooting arrows. They both had a great time. I also enjoyed being able to unwind and finish up some work.
6. The hugs and hand holding
I am nervous for the day that the boys will stop cuddling and holding my hand. I am sure that it will be sooner than later so right now I am still loving every single ounce. I feel like Cameron is almost as tall as me. He has grown two shoe sizes in the past year!
7. Deer steak
I was about 95% sure that I would NOT like deer. Yup, that is a real positive way to think about it - but it's the truth. For the past few years while Mike hunted and talked about deer meat I was never too excited about the actual meat. I wanted him to accomplish his goal but I had no interest in eating the deer. Last night I tried it for the first time (besides the jerky) and it tasted just like steak. He did a great job preparing it and I ate the whole thing. Now I am actually interested to see what the rest of the meat tastes like.
8. New windows
This summer we purchased new windows for the house and I think that it is really making a difference. Now we need to get a new door purchased. It's nuts to think that I have lived in the house for 10 years.
9. Jean Day
Today is JEAN DAY at work. I could do flips. It is so nice to have a change. Too bad it's not scrub day. hahaha
10. Organization
Yesterday I went to a leadership class and I learned a few tips about tasking and organizing my time. Though these tips will only save a few minutes here and there I am really excited to implement them and keep trudging along.
**I am not posting tomorrow out at the lake since we won't have internet.**

CHNw
1. Community Health Network
I have worked with CHNw for almost 12 years. That is insane. I have been in numerous different roles and worked with hundreds of great people...and of course some crazy, terrible ones. Community feels like home to me. I grew up as a women and a professional here. I have met many of my best friends within these walls. I am absolutely certain that I have made a difference and I am so grateful that Community gave me that opportunity. It is part of my plan to leave Community within the next year. To be specific, I want to start looking next July. When I write out my vision for the future I always say that I will be in a new career but I also think I am brave enough to see what else is out there. I met Mike here, suffered through the devastation of great loss, endured a month of bedrest and learned SO FREAKING MUCH. I am grateful. I am super grateful.
So yesterday in my blog I wrote that I needed a plan. One part of my plan is to stop drinking so much beer. I am going to only drink beer ONCE a month. Yikes. I haven't told my drinking buddy yet but since he is sole reader of the blog I felt that he could handle to devastation while having some time to meditate on it. On better news....I am going to stick with vodka. CHEERS.
3. Starbucks
You see that Starbucks in the picture? That was purchased with a gift card that I received from Boss Day. It was heavenly. Per usual.
4. Bermuda
I think I wrote this out before but I think about this a lot. I clawed my way to Bermuda. Clawed. I sacrificed a lot. My husband hated the business and the night that I actually hit my goal was one of our worst fights ever. Bermuda was also somewhat intense. He wanted to be a naysayer. He had lots of ideas and thought that this was a small, side business. I am so grateful that going to Bermuda has officially changed his outlook on the business. He is fully supportive of my time, energy and dream. My two favorite quotes of his from the trip.... "I thought that you would know more people." Nope. I didn't know many people AT ALL. This company is HUGE and I am low man on the totem pole. "They really pulled out all the stops and thought of everything." Agree. I am sadly not going to qualify for the Cruise. And yes, I will have some major jealous of those girls. BUT the following trip is in my vision.
….Mike just walked in and told me about how he is trying to sell the business to high schoolers. Yup. So freaking grateful for Bermuda.
5. Boy Scout popcorn is over. FOREVER.
Yup. You read that correctly. This was our last year of selling boy scout popcorn.

Wednesday.
1. Mike has the day off
Mike's Wednesday off worked out perfectly this week. Jack has had a nasty cold and started having a fever last night. I am hoping it's a virus and he feels better tomorrow but today he is home with Mike.
2. Sleeping in
I really miss the boys during the week but this morning it was nice not to mess with the daily grind of elementary school. I also did not have any early meetings on my schedule. When Jack climbed into our bed coughing at 2am I knew I would still be able to get some sleep. I think that Mike took him to the living room around 330.
3. "You are too close to my spot."
Though it was 2am it still made me chuckle. Jack got into our bed and nestled in between the two adults. Mike readjusted and almost immediately Jack said, "Daddy, you are too close to my spot." On the other hand Jack was touching all over my face, rubbing his feet under my back and wanting me to rub is back. Eventually I realized we had TONS of space between Jack and Mike and I made Jack move over.
4. A plan
I have realized for the past few weeks...possibly even months that I don't really have a plan. There are some things I have a plan for like getting my black belt and getting a new job. But other things I don't have a plan for like getting stronger and healthy. If I do create a plan it is usually unrealistic and fails. I am going to sit down TODAY. And plan. It's happening. Today.
5. 10 year mortgage
I am grateful that a few years ago I got off my 30 year loan. Oh holy hell it was a mess. When I got divorced and moved the house into my name I essentially started the loan over. We purchased a few months before the housing crash and then we were paying pennies of our loan off. Now we pay off so much more and it is actually exciting. I can see an end in sight. Once this is paid off we will move over to our lake house.

Personalities
1. The twins turned 9
We made it another year around the sun. They have started arguing, competing and still being comrades to the core. I can't believe how much life they have had in their last 9 years AND that it's only just begun for them. Cheers to my two young men.
Cameron is obsessed with taking pictures so before he had to return from lunch yesterday I asked if he wanted to do a quick photo shoot. Here are some of my favorite shots.
3. Toothpaste and dishes
After the kids went to bed last night I had to package up some toothpaste while Mike did the dishes. I got the best side of the chore list FOR SURE.
4. Owen falls asleep FAST
I am so jealous that when Owen's head hits the pillow he is out. OUT. Cameron and Jack both struggle to calm their bodies and mind - I am sure they will be jealous too.
5. 830 Green Belt class
I have a morning class so I am not headed into work. This gives me an extra 30 minutes of my day and boy is it heavenly. I ordered more paste, I'm doing the blog and I'm cooking spaghetti squash for lunch. Grateful for the extra minutes.

Cupcakes
1. Finished my book
So I didn't post yesterday because every free minute I had I was reading my book. I think that my husband wanted to kill me. I am been cranking out these books lately and it has been FABULOUS. This was not the best book in the world but eventually I feel in love with the characters and I was anxious to find out how it ended. I think that I started the book on Thursday so yeah- -- all extra hours went to this.
2. Zoodles
On Saturday night I also made zoodles for the first time. They were awesome. I look forward to many more recipies and concoctions.
3. Swim clinic
The twins did a swim clinic today because they missed so many lessons. Ironically Owen could only stay for half of the clinic. I was able to work out, visit the steam room and shower. It was pretty fabulous. Cameron and I missed the first soccer game of the day but I am glad that he was able to participate in something fun.
4. Soccer is OVER and the weekend was successful
Owen had his last tournament of the year. It was fun, stressful and exciting to watch him play. They lost the championship game but they were able to play against some of their friends from school. It has been freezing cold again this weekend. Though it was sunny out I am glad to not be at the fields anymore.
5. Birthday at Bdubs
We went to Bw3 tonight to celebrate the twins' bday with my parents. It was the usual shit show but also nice to get out and do something different. The kids were great besides the one meltdown from Jack. They have small ipads to play so they loved doing the games while we sat and talked. I am OLD. OLD. OLD.
6. Egg cartons
Clearly I am collecting egg cartons like they will be of high value during a zombie apocalypse. Obviously this is completely necessary.
I made this hoarding realization while making two different types of cupcakes for the twins. We needed to borrow two eggs from the neighbors who own chickens so we thought it would be appropriate to bring over our stash.

Treats
1. The ability to leave work
I am grateful that no one is watching my every move at work. I am grateful I have my own space and as long as I get my work done I am successful. I am grateful that if I need to leave to go to a doctor appt - I go. If I want to go to a long lunch with my friend - I go.
2. Shelby works at Dr. A's office
This morning my mom had an oncology appointment. Basically - we are happy Shelby works there because yesterday morning this appointment wasn't scheduled, the staff didn't draw her blood correctly AND Shelby keeps us entertained. It is great.
3. Chores are completed
Rouzer is off this week for fall break and he has completed all of the chores and mowed the lawn. It's pretty awesome.
4. Quick date night
Yesterday at work I received a coupon for dinner so at the last minute we decided to go out on a date. My mom came over and kept Jack entertained while we went to dinner and made a quick trip to Cabelas. We are lucky that things like that are so easy.
5. Jimmy Johns
It was an emotionally draining morning. My dad has not been doing well lately...at all. It has been very hard, lonely and taxing on my mom. I struggle to figure out how to help best. This morning I could feel her disappointment, tension, sadness, overwhelm, confusion and loneliness. It's hard to know what to say - or if to say anything - or what to next. After my mom's oncology appointment I decided to hit up Jimmy Johns. It is one of my favorites and so it was a "treat yourself" type of an afternoon.

Conference Call
1. Stitch Fix
Last night I received another Stitch Fix. These service has been such a blessing in my life. This morning I am wearing new black pants that are comfortable and that fit and I never had to leave my house.
2. Schitts Creek
We have the next season of Schitts Creek on Netflix so we are currently on a binge. We probably only have one or two more shows and that will make me sad. These characters crack me up.
3. Last night at soccer
It was FREEZING cold last night but it was great to walk with Nash for 45 minutes while Owen had his last soccer practice for the year. As you can see it was beautiful out. Beautiful and freezing cold.
4. My sweet Cam Cam
Cameron is the sweetest soul I have ever met. He truly cares for others, their well being and their happiness. He is absolutely hilarious and always dancing. Always.
5. Seat Warmers
I love my seat warmers on these cold mornings. It's a little bit of luxury and it is wonderful.

551am
1. for the opportunity
Yesterday evening when I walked out of work my mind fooled me quickly and I wanted to immediately call Erin. Within split seconds I remembered that wasn't possible but as I hit the beautiful fall weather it was my first instinct and yesterday it hit me like a ton of bricks. I decided to make a trip to the cemetery instead. I am grateful that I know what happened to my sister. I am grateful that she is not missing or didn't disappear on a run. I am grateful that she was not brutally murdered. I want her back and to change history -- that goes without saying. BUT I am grateful that though I didn't get to go have an evening playdate, I was still able to honor her memory.
2. Beer, chili and Grey's Anatomy
After a solid cry at the cemetery I decided to come home and veg out. It was a bit indulgent but I also exactly what I needed at the time. I went to bed early, got up early, and ready to start fresh again today.
3. Only my flip flop fell victim
Nash has been freaking out the past few days when we leave and come back. Yesterday I made a quick trip home for lunch and when I was trying to leave the house he kept escaping through the door with me. Once I finally got out of the house without him he took his anger out on my flip flop. I have seen pictures and videos of what dogs can do to the house when people leave. I am so grateful it was only my flip flop.
4. Boss Day
Oh goodness I am not big on days. I just think that it gets overboard with vodka day, lipstick day...the works. Yesterday was boss day. Since I am the boss of an office I received a few gifts and some really nice cards. It does make you feel really special and I am grateful for my team.
5. Full staff
Have I mentioned this yet? Currently and for almost 2 full weeks I have had NO openings for my support staff. I have three provider openings (which in my eyes does not count at all) but NO staff openings. This is huge. Huge huge. When you have a staff of 90 people in healthcare there are always people coming and going. Always. The moment I was full I called Tam, my boss, and she said that her longest stretch was 2 weeks when she was a manager.

Tuesday Morning
1. Sweaters
Today I pulled back out my sweater box and was instantly greeted by an old wardrobe. I am wearing a sweater today and it feels heavenly.
2. Dinner at my parents
Last night Rouzer was in Ohio hunting so the boys and I had dinner with my parents. My absolute favorite part is just sitting and talking with my mom. We talked about our recent trip, work and the boys upcoming birthday. Nothing special but it feels comforting and easy.
3. Jack is hilarious
Jack took the pictures (and many more not shown) of the 5 of us for a FB post. He wanted us to say "poopieee" instead of "cheeeese." He laughs hysterically at his own jokes and he personally I do think he is pretty funny. But maybe I am biased.
4. Sold more tubes
Last night I had two different referral posts up and I sold some more tubes. I would say that these few months have been a valley in my toothpaste business. I worked for about 2 hours last night and was EXHAUSTED. I am grateful that I sold some more tubes and hopefully the ball just keeps rolling.
5. Bedtime went smoothly
With Mike out of town AND trying to work on toothpaste I am happy to report that bedtime went smoothly last night. The twins helped read to Jack, Jack only got out of bed once or twice and everyone was asleep pretty quickly. When I am home alone it is a bit tougher for me to fall asleep but once I did I was OUT.

the break
1. 20 minutes
I just set my timer for 20 minutes at work. No distractions. Just work. Now I am taking a break for 10 minutes before the next 30 minutes of work. I know that this seems insane to a lot of people but throughout my work day I have become EXTREMELY distracted. I know that if I can get back into a zone of efficiency I can have all of my work completed by noon. I will be getting back to that place.
2. Mike made lunches
Pretty much everyday Mike will make the boys' lunches. It's pretty fabulous and I am grateful for the extra minutes I have to get ready in the morning.
3. Chili and beer
Yesterday I made a huge pot of chili and it was PERFECT on a cold afternoon. We are still recovering from our trip so lounging with chili hit the spot.
4. "hey hoe"
Jack marches around saying "hey hoe, hey hoe, it's off to work we go." It's so freaking hard to not laugh. And no-- we don't correct him because we think it is hilarious.
5. the ability to start again
Wowzers. I have been bad with giving up on my goals. Or should I say that I have done a GREAT job at failing. I am grateful that I have a new day and a new moment to start again. It's not over.

Disney
So I had some intentions of doing the blog WHILE on vacation but almost immediately I realized that would be tough. Not that I can't do tough things...but I decided to take a pass on the blog.
Now I am back at it.
1. Trip to Disney
Yesterday we got back from an eight day trip to Disney. It was long, wonderful, exhausting and fabulous. We stayed with Rick and Connie at the Wilderness lodge and Brian and Lauren were also there at the beginning of the week. We were so spoiled and enjoyed almost every minute. You know....some minutes of meltdowns are hard to enjoy.
2. We didn't lose any children
Disney was a mad house. I am so grateful that no one was lost for any extended period of time. We were able to stick together and not cause any major heart attacks.
3. My fanny pack
Though my bright pink fanny pack was not a great fashion statement OR great for pictures....it was still pretty fabulous for holding my phone and our trading pins. I am becoming obsessed with the fanny pack.
4. Trading Pins
One of my favorite things at Disney was trading pins. The boys would walk into a gift shop and not worry about gifts and toys...they would just ask to trade free pins. We were all obsessed with finding the ones we liked.
5. Jack was just the right height
Jack was probably 4.25 inches and just barely made it on most of the rides. This made the trip SO. MUCH. BETTER. After every ride we would have this converstation...
"Did you like it?"
"Yes."
"Do you want to go again?"
"No."
6. Typhoon Lagoon
It had been raining off and on so the morning we went to the water park it was EMPTY. We were able to ride every ride twice in the entire park within 2 hours. The entire family had a blast. Hands down this was my favorite part.
7. Mickey's Not So Scary Trick or Treat
On Thursday night we had special tickets to this event. Again the rides had absolutely no lines though the actual park seemed packed. We were able to get on any ride we wanted plus watch amazing fireworks, the parade and gorge ourselves on candy.
8. Back home
It is nice to sleep in our own beds, sleep in, and get settled for the week. I am so happy we have today (Sunday) to accomplish our chores and start getting into the grove. It was a great trip.
Now I am back at it.
