Frosted mini wheats

I actually took out my old "TO DO" list to make sure I got this blog done today.  I guess my hope of doing my blog more didn't take off in April.  There have been a lot of changes here and we have kept ourselves busy.  The boys are learning and growing like crazy.

1. Time
We are at a new place this year.  I was thinking about it last night.  Last year and the year before I was in a place of survival.  I couldn't think past that day...or that week.  I gave every piece of energy I had  to my children and I didn't have anymore for anything else.  The boys are getting to a place (or maybe it is me...who knows...) where life has become a bit more settled.  This weekend I am even making the cribs into toddler beds and the picture below is of the boys on two potties (yes in the living room).

2. The best of friends.....
We are pretty lucky to have these people in our lives.  We play with Ethan and Jonny almost every day possible.  It will be interesting to see as they all continue to grow up.

3. SCHOOL.
The boys attend a Co-Op twice a week for two hours.  I don't know if I have mention this before but it is GREAT.  They love the school and I love the school.  I go with them once or twice a month.  We play, have circle time, eat a snack, and continue playing.  The boys are already signed up for next year.

4. Thank you PARENTS!!
Last week I had a rough ROUGH week.  It was odd.  I was both hormonal and irrational.  It wasn't the boys...they were actually being great....it was me.  Though I am extremely busy (I am either with the boys OR at work) I think that I was lonely.  It is an odd feeling being around people all the time but still feeling that you want someone different to be there to share the time.  Regardless, my parents stepped in and took us out to dinner.  It was a great treat.  The boys were very good.  And the company even better. Thank you AGAIN for taking care of us.

5. Random moments from life
****This might be my favorite picture right now.  First, the boys are starting to ASK to go to Target.  They realize that they get unlimited snacks and pretty much anything that they ask in return for patience and good behavior.  That is a habit I need to break.....  Second, I asked them to say "Cheeeeese" and this is what I got.  But it is perfect.  That is how Cameron says, "cheese" when smiling for the camera.  It makes me laugh AND my heart melt at the same time.*****

Right now they are watching Team Umizoomi. They talk and interact with the TV. The other night Owen told me which character that he was and who was Cameron. It is actually fun to watch them watch TV. They have TV requests now which include: Team Umizoomi, Mickey Mouse, Thomas (ahh....so sick of this), the Lion King....I guess that is about it.  In the picture below they both have at least one finger in their mouth.  We have had a successful transition without pacifiers.  I bit more whining and somewhat of a new routine...but no one asks for a pacifier!!

MORE RANDOM THOUGHTS....
I thought that this picture helped clearly show where we came from....or better yet...where we are headed.  This picture was taken at the ENT appointment this week.  I sat in a chair bored while the boys sat and played with the toys on the ground.  Appointments use to be CRAZY and stressful.  I will admit, there are times I still want to hide in a hole, but for the most part I am proud that these kids are starting to behave!

a few last notes....it is obvious I don't proof read.  Don't judge.  Also...I am excited to say...work is getting done on the yard.  I set up my garden boxes, started to move some plants, and I am using my rain barrel again this season.

Oh..one last thing that I don't want to forget in my old age.  Right now the boys are CRAZY when I put them to bed.  They don't cry but instead act like a party is going on in their bedroom.  It gets pretty funny to listen over the monitor.  For example, last night they kept putting each other into time out.  A few nights ago they were arguing about whose mom I was.  Owen said, "my mom. your dad." It isn't a normal trip to bed if Cameron doesn't take all of his blankets and pillows and throw them out of his crib.  But I think that the best part....the fake sleeping.  Where did they learn that?!  It is hilarious.  If they are up jumping on their bed and playing they instantly fall to the bed and shut their eyes.  They will not move, rarely crack a smile, and act dead asleep.  It will be fun to see how this changes after their cribs are gone.  Maybe fun is not the right word.......
