1. Change in plans
It has been raining for DAYS. The boys were supposed to have a camp out this weekend but because of all the rain and storms it was canceled. Almost immediately I asked my parents to come over for a few hours so we could go out to dinner. Mike was finally able to enjoy a crawfish boil here in Indy. We headed downtown and had a great two hours alone. We even got ice cream and watched all the prom goers before heading home. It was like a real date.
2. Melissa's baby shower
On Saturday morning we celebrated Melissa's baby girl. It was fun (like always) to spend time with these ladies.
3. Lunch with Jenna & Melissa
On Friday afternoon I asked Jenna and Melissa to lunch knowing that I would not have much one on one time at the baby shower. We sat and talked for over three hours. It was great to catch up but it really made me miss my sister.
4. Real boys
Jack has been quickly making the flip to being a real boy. It's insane how all of a sudden they are just here -- full of personality, words, opinions, difficulties, giggles, games and craziness.
5. The best family members
Cameron and Owen are so flexible, go with the flow, and have been super easy to parent lately. Oh don't worry -- they still pose a gazillion challenges -- BUT on a daily basis I say to them, "Thank you so much for being so good. It is so nice that you guys are so good. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you."
